There are many incredibly talented people in Cumbria and until 10th August you see and even buy their work when you visit the 46th exhibition by Carlisle and Cumbria Artists at the Cathedral Fratry.
Over 300 pictures and paintings are on show at this high quality exhibition by a mixture of about 80 professional and amateur artists.
All of the artwork is for sale, so this is an ideal opportunity to pick up some stunning local artwork. Many of the pieces depict the fantastic scenery of our region, from large panoramas to more modestly sized still life studies, landscapes and even greetings cards.
Entry is only £1 with accompanied children free.
The medieval Cathedral Fratry in the centre of Carlisle provides a great venue and a third of sales income and all entry money goes to charity.
This year Carlisle and Cumbria Artists are supporting Carlisle Cathedral and Jigsaw, the children’s hospice. Raffle tickets will be on sale to benefit Jigsaw and we hope you will give generously to support this worthy cause.
The exhibition will run from 24th July – 10th August 2014 10 am – 5 pm [weekdays] & 12 noon – 4 pm [Sundays]
The Fratry is a medieval building approached by steps, currently with no disabled access, although new plans for alterations will include this.
