Workplace Assessments

Office580x200 Workplace Assessments

Current health and safety legislation requires businesses to carry out various risk assessments and complying with ever changing rules and keeping up to date with latest research can be a daunting task.

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) have identified musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) as a priority in the workplace and much emphasis is now placed on ensuring best practice.

•    MSDs place a heavy financial burden on large and small businesses alike.
•    Many MSD cases can be avoided and risks minimised.
•    The long term effects of MSD’s can be disabling, resulting in hefty personal injury (PI) claims.

We believe that empowering and educating the employee to take responsibility for his work patterns, practices and physical well being is just as important as helping the business comply with legislation.

Our workplace assessments in line with HSE guidelines, are thorough and concise, aimed at identifying and reducing risk before problems appear.

Case Specific assessments are sometimes needed when a member of staff is experiencing problems which may or may not be linked to their work.  A specific case history and in depth analysis of task requirements allows risks to be identified and where necessary, adaptations made to accommodate specific needs.

If you are planning a new office or workplace, then we are available for consulting and advising on design and layout with a view to minimising the risk of MSD’s.
