Cumbria’s popular half marathon takes place on Sunday 10th October to raise money for local and national charities.

Starting at the historic Carlisle Castle, the runners will pass through Carlisle city centre, before heading into the countryside through the picturesque villages of Cumwhinton, Wetheral and Scotby.

Runners then return to the city through Rickerby Park and into Bitts Park for the grand finish at the Sheepmount Stadium.

Families and schools can get involved in the Family Fun Run around Bitts Park.

Remember your warm up and more importantly, cool down stretches, take plenty of water and pace yourself!
