Carlisle Lake District Airport is open to GA – General Aviation – traffic.

According to The Flying Reporter YouTube channel, the airport, situated on the outskirts of Carlisle in Northern England, is now receiving flights from civil aviation operations other than scheduled air services and non-scheduled air transport operations, simply known as GA traffic.
Ideal for light aircraft and helicopters.

The airport is in an ideal location as a stop over or for our clients to access our clinic in nearby Warwick bridge, just three miles away.

Carlisle is ideally situated for excursions into Scotland, the Lake District National Park and Northumberland. Historic Hadrian’s Wall is a popular tourist attraction.

Please note that Carlisle Lake District Airport is not currently available for flights that require the use of a licensed aerodrome.
